Hawksbill Turtle—rare and endangered!

We had a rare encounter today in Molokini; we had the luck to dive with a Hawksbill Turtle this morning. There are only about 80 breeding females around the Hawaiian Islands so close encounters like this one are very rare.

I think she thought the dome port of my camera was a jellyfish and wanted to take a bite!
