This was a first! In 27 years of diving on Maui, we've never had a Marlin diving with us! BUT TODAY WAS THE DAY!
We've had great conditions for the last few days, no wind, no swell—pretty much flat water.
Today, we got a call on the radio that a Marlin was INSIDE Molokini Crater, in shallow water. Captain Steve and I jumped in the water with cameras.
Steve shot a little video and Benja got this picture, but the real treat was seeing a Marlin swimming free on the wild.
That is one of the great things about diving at Molokini...even after all these years we still see things we have never seen before!
