It wasn't all that long ago that you had to be a lucky diver to have the chance to see a Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle. They were endangered due to over-fishing; they were consumed as a delicacy. Due to the regulations put in place to protect them, their populations have experienced a wonderful increase and now we have the opportunity to swim with them daily.
This one is at the "Cleaning Station" getting her shell detailed. This is one of the wonderful symbiotic relationships in nature.
